HappyJapan proudly presents its latest work. The HCU model is a real technological breakthrough, even compared to the previous top models of this manufacturer. The maximum working speed has increased to 1500 rpm/min. for flat embroidery and 1200 stitches/min. for hats. The working area has also been significantly increased, now it reaches even 400 × 600 mm.

A completely new feature is the automatic presser foot height adjustment system based on the thickness of the material, which significantly improves the stitch quality achieved. You can also choose a digital thread tension adjustment system, a cross laser, and many other options familiar to HappyJapan users.

The embroidery machine was designed on completely new principles. The novelty is the servomotors for moving the X. Y axes and the main drive. Following the latest trends in mechanical engineering, the Y-axis motors are located above the movable frame. The needle foot control mechanism has also been improved, significantly speeding up its operation.

All Happy embroidery machines are designed and manufactured in Japan and are characterized by unprecedented attention to detail. This means not only the embroidery quality achieved but also the smooth operation of the machine over its long service life.

Happy HCU is a single-head, 14 or 15-needle embroidery machine that sets new standards in the embroidery industry. It allows you to embroider a hoop area of up to 60 x 40 centimeters. This is the largest working area with a hoop among single-head embroidery machines in the world! The embroidery machine embroiders hats in a working area of 70 × 180 mm for the LOW hoop and 80 × 360 mm for the WIDE hoop. Here, too, great progress has been made, especially when it comes to the maximum embroidery height.

The maximum speed with such a large working area is as high as 1,500 stitches per minute for flat hoops and 1,200 stitches per minute for hats. This is a noticeable increase compared to the previous model, especially in the field of cylindrical embroidery (including hats), and also the best result among embroidery machines on the market.

Despite the large number of colors, threading has been simplified as much as possible. Each spool has its own number, and directly above it there is a guide that determines the further path of the thread. Arrows illustrate the subsequent threading steps, so it is difficult to make a mistake and thread the machine incorrectly. New threads can also be tied to existing ones and pulled through all tensioners and spacers, thereby reducing the time to a few seconds.

A new feature of the HCU model is the option to choose a machine with factory-installed digital thread tension control. You can set one of 30 tension levels on the touch screen. The embroidery machine will automatically maintain it, preventing the thread from loosening over time. This mechanism also makes threading easier, as all tension discs are more easily accessible.

Another completely new feature of the HCU model is the automatic foot height adjustment system, depending on the thickness of the material being embroidered. The foot sensor lowers or raises the foot, adjusting the distance between the edge of the foot and the embroidered surface in real time. This solution allows you to achieve better embroidery quality, regardless of the embroidered surface.
Thanks to the digital foot height control, even thick materials do not cause fluttering during embroidery, and thin, stretchy materials do not pull so much during operation of the foot.

As standard, Happy machines are equipped with a laser marker, which greatly facilitates positioning the embroidery area on the material. Using a laser makes it easier to draw the contours of the embroidered pattern on the material, which, on the one hand, allows you to more accurately determine the embroidery position and, on the other hand, avoids choosing the wrong hoop and, as a result, not hitting the hoop.

In the HCU model, we can choose from two machine configurations:

– version 1401-40 with 14 embroidery needles, in which instead of one of the needles a cross laser is factory-installed, directed vertically downwards. This option removes one of the needles, but in return, allows for easier adjustment of the embroidery position. In this configuration, the thickness of the material does not affect the laser readings.

– 1501-40 version with 15 embroidery needles, to which you can purchase the option of a dot laser mounted on the side of the head. As a result, we get more needles, but the laser readings may be slightly distorted in the readings, depending on the thickness of the embroidered material. It will also be more difficult to determine the correct angle of embroidery on the target material.

Happy HCU has a reinforced body made of cast iron. This has a direct impact on the weight of the machine, which with such compact dimensions reaches as much as 99 kg. The high weight of the embroidery machine helps to reduce the effect of vibration on the operation of the machine components and thus prolongs its operation without failures. It also has a direct impact on the strength and accuracy of the machine's stitch, which ensures the highest possible embroidery quality.
The machine uses several servo motors. This is the fastest solution and is only used in high-end industrial machines. They are used in the main drive motor of the machine, as well as in the X and Y axis motors. As a result, the maximum speed of the embroidery machine has increased from 1,200 to 1,500 stitches per minute for flat embroidery and from 1,000 to 1,200 stitches per minute for caps and cylinder embroidery.
The system that controls the mechanism that replaces the needle bar currently used has also been changed. This change in the HCU model is smoother and significantly faster, which also significantly reduces the time required to complete the work, especially in the case of long, complex embroideries.

Happy embroidery machines have a unique shuttle mechanism elbow. Compared to other industrial embroidery machines, it is uniquely forward-facing and narrow, meaning that embroidering on small or hard-to-reach garments is no problem!
In the HCU model, the design of the shuttle mechanism elbow has been refined to perfection. The elbow has been significantly reduced and is now only 45 mm in diameter, and the distance from the needle plate hole to the edge of the elbow is only 13 mm (that's almost half!). Thanks to these improvements, you can embroider inside pockets of shirts or caps up to 80 mm high.

The device is intuitive to operate thanks to the 7-inch touchscreen and easy-to-use user interface. This is very useful in cases where the thread breaks during embroidery and to return exactly to the last point of the embroidered stitch. The embroidery design is displayed in the background of the embroidery hoop used, which allows you to accurately mark the embroidery location and eliminates the risk of the needle hitting the embroidery frame.

The Happy HCU memory includes 100 built-in designs and 12 patterns, which can be selected from 6 sizes. Thanks to the advanced integrated user interface, you can edit files and notes without using a computer. This is a very practical solution, especially for making small corrections.

On the right side of the touch screen, the embroidery machine has two USB type A ports for connecting a storage device and/or a computer mouse for precise control of the panel. On the left side of the screen, there is a USB type B port for direct connection to a computer and a LAN socket for connecting multiple embroidery machines. Designs from USB storage devices can be saved to the device's internal memory.

The embroidery machine's built-in memory can store up to 999 files, allowing the machine to remember up to 40,000,000 stitches.

Compatible embroidery hoops and accessories:

The embroidery machine can be equipped with a wide range of flat hoops in various sizes. The machine is also compatible with Tajima embroidery hoops. Therefore, each machine user can choose the right hoop for their embroidery.
